PAUL WAS A BRAVE FREEDOM FIGHTER

1. Galatians 2:1-4 – The Leaders
   a. Paul
   b. Barnabas
        Acts 9:26-28
   c. Titus, a Greek Gentile.
        II Corinthians 2:7
   d. Three primary leaders of Jerusalem church
        Peter, John, and James.
        Acts 12:1-2
        Matthew 13:55
   e. Galatians 2:4

2. Within our faith, there is a tension between revelation and reason.
   The same Greek word in Galatians 2:2 and Galatians 1:12
   “The disclosure of divine will in regard to a specific matter.”

   a. We can be led by the Holy Spirit and we can claim that leading and live accordingly.
   b. There is a remedy for the tension.

   A problem with a democratic approach is that the majority is not always right.
   ·  “All people are created equal.” Really?
   ·  “Your opinion is as valuable as theirs.”
   ·  “What a person thinks is right, is right for them.”

   Paul was fighting for the truth. And the truth is always, and will always be, what God says.
