BIG IDEA: If we do the four things Jesus did when he became one of us, we will succeed as Christians! In brief, this means we must think, give, serve, and obey like Jesus.

  1. Learn to think humbly – don’t chase or cling to fame and fortune. 
    Philippians 2:6, Philippians 4:8-9
    THINK
  2. Live sacrificially…learn to give things up for the gospel! 
    Philippians 2:7a, Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:8-12
    GIVE
  3. Choose to serve and do the lowly jobs nobody else will do.
    Philippians 2:7b, James 4:10
    SERVE
  4. Live in humble obedience to the law of Christ.
    Philippians 2:8, Matthew 28:20, I Corinthians 9:21.
    OBEY

    THE RESULT: Philippians 2:9-11
