Introduction
We have two representatives and one sinner.
The representatives are scribes and pharisees.
The sinner happens to be a woman supposedly caught in adultery.
As then, so today in the church world we have lawgivers and grace givers.
Biblical Clarity
Romans 3:20 – No man, no person is justified by the law.
Romans 8:3 – The law could not take away sin.
John 1:14 – Jesus is full of grace and truth.
Ephesians 2:8 – All who are saved are saved by grace.
The Contrast
Law Givers VS Grace Givers
John 3:17 – Jesus came not to condemn but to save.
John 10:10 – Jesus came to give abundant life.
Jesus the Advocate
The Rebuttal – John 8:7 – Who can cast the first stone?
The Inscription – What did Jesus write in the ground?
Romans 3:10 – There is none righteous, no not one.
Romans 3:23 – All have sinned and come short.
Restoration
John 8:10 – Restoration is personal.
John 8:11 – Restoration is divine.
Restoration is empowering.
The Struggle between the law and grace.
The Provision of Grace salvation, forgiveness, power.
