Luke 10:38-41
Pastor Terry Wilcox
Metropolitan Life Insurance Company published a leaflet on fatigue that said,
Hard work by itself seldom causes fatigue which cannot be cured by a good night’s sleep or rest. Worry, tenseness, and emotional upsets are the three biggest causes of fatigue. Often they are to blame when physical or mental work seems to be the cause. Remember that a tense muscle is a working muscle. Ease up. Save energy for important duties.
Anxiety was defeating Martha, note her reactions:
- She assumed Jesus didn’t care Luke 10:40
- She blamed Mary for being irresponsible Luke 10:41
- She tried to solve it her way Luke 10:41
Worried means pulled apart in different directions.
Bothered is like being in a noise-filled room.

- Positively
Understand these terms: trust, heart, understanding, lean, acknowledge, and make straight.
Three Observations:
- This promise for worry-free living is for today.
- God only does his part when we do our part.
- God can handle all of the areas of our lives.
