Resurrection Power and You

The Resurrection of Jesus is the bedrock of Christianity!

It appears to me that the spirits of fear and defeat are thriving today.  Both in the hearts and minds of individuals and in the psyche of our nation.

Judges 7:2-3

The implications of the Easter miracle for each of us:

1. Many people are impacted by their past.

   a. Whatever you do, don’t give up!
        Romans 8:11
   b. Easter power is available to you, but you must take a step of faith.

2. Many need healing of the hurt of devastating loss.

   a. What is your plan?  Doing nothing will result in despair.

   Romans 8:11 The Message – …It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself?…

   b. The healing, consoling power of God has to be appropriated.

3. Some folks are being defeated by addictions.

   a. This is harder than most people believe.

   Romans 8:11 The Passion Translation – Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!

   b. God’s power is released by our surrender.

4. Fear and defeat thrive when people believe Satan’s lie that they are just average.

   Romans 8:11 NLT – The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

   Fear and defeat are no match for Resurrection Power which is made a reality for each of us by faith.
