God told Aaron and his sons to bless the people.  Numbers 6:24

Hebrew word shalom means completeness, safety,   .
Greek word in the New Testament eirene means tranquility, , spiritual well-being.

Three areas of application: peace with – God, ourselves, and with others.

Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?  -A. Lincoln

1. At war with God.
   Romans 5:10; Colossians 1:21; James 4:4
2. God has a plan for peace.
   Romans 5:6-8; John 3:16-18; II Corinthians 5:18-19
3. is the way to peace and .
   Romans 5:1; John 15:15; Romans 8:15-16

Although we were born His enemy, we can become His friend.
