How to Beat Worry

Proverbs 3:5-6
Luke 10:38-41

Pastor Terry Wilcox

Metropolitan Life Insurance Company published a leaflet on fatigue that said,

Hard work by itself seldom causes fatigue which cannot be cured by a good night’s sleep or rest.  Worry, tenseness, and emotional upsets are the three biggest causes of fatigue.  Often they are to blame when physical or mental work seems to be the cause.  Remember that a tense muscle is a working muscle.  Ease up.  Save energy for important duties.

Anxiety was defeating Martha, note her reactions:

  1. She assumed Jesus    Luke 10:40
  2. She blamed  for being    Luke 10:41
  3. She tried to solve it    Luke 10:41

Worried means  in different directions.

Bothered is like being in a  room.
