What is it about children that Jesus is showing us?

  1. Humbly recognized dependence on God.
The greatest obstacle to a relationship with God is pride.
    I Peter 5:5-7
    II Corinthians 12:9-10
  2. For a child, faith is simple.
    Matthew 18:2-3
Faith is not complicated: it is a decision to trust.
Illustration: Bridge rail. “My mother was fearful, I wasn’t because my father’s hand was wrapped around mine.”
    Hebrews 11:1-2,6
  3. Children know they belong to a family.
In the midst of trouble, watch who they run to.
    John 1:12-13
Galatians 3:26 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,”
