God’s Timing is Amazing

GOD’S TIMING IS AMAZING!
Luke 2:1-7

Christmas is about God’s timing – He has a plan and it includes !

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Luke 2:7 refers to the  of Jesus.

Galatians 4:4 refers to the  of Jesus.

REASONS WHY MARY COULD HAVE THOUGHT – “BAD TIMING”

  1. Her marriage to Joseph was not .
  2. Birth will be in  territory.
  3. Census interrupted their plans.
  4. A strange new town without her .
  5. Inadequate .

    Oftentimes God’s timing seems .

OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS HAD PREDICTED THE MESSIAH WOULD:

  1. Emerge victorious over . – Galatians 3:15
  2. Come from Abraham and bless the . – Genesis 12:2-3
  3. Descend from the tribe of . – Genesis 49:10
  4. Descend from  family. – II Samuel 7:16
  5. Be born of a virgin. – Isaiah 7:14
  6. Be born . – Micah 5:2
  7. Be visited and honored by wise men. – Psalm 72:10, Isaiah 60:3, 6, 9

IN LIGHT OF HISTORY, THE TIMING OF JESUS’ BIRTH IS AMAZING

  1. The diaspora of the .
  2. Favorable  environment.
  3. Favorable  environment.
  4. Favorable  climate.
    Greek philosophers were better at asking questions than answering them.

    Three great questions of life:  , and death. Jesus answered all three

    · The right decision at the wrong time = unacceptance· The right decision at the right time = success 

    God’s timing is always perfect!

    As we end 2021 and begin 2022 keep in mind that nothing stays the same. Our decisions today will become non-negotiable tomorrow.
